Mr. Sonnenklar founded Corporate Counsel Group LLP. He has a broad-based legal practice focused on corporate finance, technology transactions, and other general commercial matters. Mr. Sonnenklar possesses a deep understanding of the Internet and new media industries.

Experience

• Mr. Sonnenklar has served for 4 years as outsourced General Counsel for Local.com, New.net, Think Passenger, and Savings.com. He has also worked as outsourced Associate General Counsel for WeddingChannel.com and Connexus.
• Mr. Sonnenklar has represented clients in transactions with a variety of new media bellwethers such as Google, Microsoft, Yahoo!, Amazon.com, Expedia, Interactive Affiliate Network, Ask.com, Verizon, Lycos, FindWhat.com, NetZero, DoubleClick, 24/7 Real Media, Idearc, Miva, InfoSpace, Acxiom, Mapquest, Marchex, Fandango, Orbitz, WhenU, and Quigo.
• Prior to founding CCG, Mr. Sonnenklar was a business lawyer at Morrison & Foerster LLP (MoFo), the largest California-based law firm with approximately 1,000 attorneys worldwide. He honed his drafting skills heading a team of MoFo lawyers charged with creating various annotated master form agreements used by all corporate attorneys at the firm.
• Mr. Sonnenklar has international transactional experience as well. In 2000, he was an integral part of MoFo’s Buenos Aires office where he represented various Latin American venture-backed companies.
• Mr. Sonnenklar began his legal career as a real estate lawyer with Barack Ferrazzano, Kirschbaum, Perlman & Nagelberg, a premier real estate law firm in Chicago.
• Before that, Mr. Sonnenklar lived in Madrid, Spain, where he worked for Legal Language Services as a legal translator and a teacher of American business law. He is fluent in Spanish.
